Planning to stay long-term in Thailand? For most visas in Thailand, you will need a minimum of 3 weeks left on your Thai visa to process a long-term visa. TMT Visa Service can do an extension on your tourist visa or visa exemption for 30 days. PLEASE NOTE: Some nationalities are not eligible.
But what if you’ve already extended your visa once before? Unfortunately, you won’t be able to extend your visa again. This is when the best option for you is to do a visa run to Satun (Malaysian border) for a new visa exemption stamp or a visa run to Penang, Malaysia, to apply for a 60 days tourist visa with the Thai embassy and apply for your long term visa after returning in Thailand.
The visa run to Satun is operated by Air conditioned Minivan, which is very convenient. Designed for travelers who want to make a long-term visa in Thailand but do not have enough days left on the visa or people who want to stay a little bit longer but need a new visa stamp to avoid overstaying their visas. The trip departs from Phuket in the morning and arrives back in the evening.
The visa run to Penang in Malaysia is for travelers who don’t qualify for a visa exemption and need to have a Tourist visa upon entering Thailand or for people who want to apply for a long-term visa with the Thai consulate in Penang. This visa run is operated by bus or airplane, and it takes 4 days and 3 nights (hotel and transportation included).
*PLEASE NOTE THAT VISA FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED, AND TMT VISA SERVICE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REFUSED VISA APPLICATIONS BY THE THAI CONSULATE*
If you wish to do a border run to enter on a visa exemption, we can offer cheap flights to Kuala Lumpur and back to Phuket on the same day.
TMT Visa Service provides an all in one VISA service in Southern Thailand, with services such as Document Translations, Opening Thai Bank Accounts, Marriage Paperworks With a Thai Citizen, Insurances for Foreigners In Thailand and much much more.
